Privacy policy
Version 2026-10
Padel Ladder is run by the Padel Ladder team. This policy explains what we keep about you, who sees it and the choices you have. Questions: hello@padelladder.me.
What we keep
- Your account: how you sign in (Google, Apple, email link or phone number), your email address or phone number, and your date of birth.
- From Google or Apple: when you sign in with them, we receive your name, email address and profile photo, to set up your account (you can change the name and photo). We do not access anything else in your Google or Apple account.
- Your player profile: name, photo, nationality, gender, preferred side, playing hand, level, home club, a short bio and an Instagram name, if you add them.
- Your padel: the communities you join, the events you play, your match results, rating and statistics.
- Social: your friends, the players you follow, people you block, messages you send, and your notification settings.
- Entry fees: when an organizer records that you paid an event's entry fee: the amount, how you paid (cash, card, bank transfer) and when. Card numbers are never asked for or kept.
- Technical: a token per device for push notifications, the activity records organizers and admins need to keep communities safe, and reports of errors the app runs into (where in the app, the app's version and the browser; never your messages or contact details). A backup of the whole database is made every night and kept for 30 days.
- Not kept: your location. When you tap “Near me”, your device uses it to sort communities by distance; it is not sent to us.
Who sees what
- Results, ratings and your name are visible to everyone signed in to the app, because one player rating follows you across communities.
- Your profile details: you choose, field by field, whether everyone, your communities, your friends or only you see them (Me, Edit profile).
- Your phone number is seen only by the organizers of communities you belong to. Your email address and date of birth are never shown to other players.
- Messages are seen by the people in the chat. Community chats are seen by that community's members. The app team may review content that is reported to them.
- Entry fee records are seen by the organizers and scorers of that community, and by you.
- TV and check-in screens show names and results only.
- Public pages: when a community's organizers switch on its page on the web, anyone with the link sees its upcoming events, results and ranking, with players' first names and the initial of their last names only: never photos, contact or profile details.
Players under 18
Accounts need you to be at least 13. Under 18, your profile is shown only to members of your communities, outside them your name shows as your first name and initial, adults cannot send you friend requests, you message friends only, and community chats stay off.
Where it is stored
On Google Firebase servers (Google Cloud), protected by access rules so each person sees only what is described above. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Your choices
- Change what others see at any time, turn notifications on or off, and block people.
